Greyston Bakery

 

Few establishments can talk about social responsibility and walk the talk. Not Greyston. The bakery has had an open hiring policy where you can get a job there no matter what your personal circumstances are. Over the year, the bakery has provided much needed salaries to lower income families in the area. But that is not the only reason why you should patronize the bakery. They also have some of the best brownies in the state!

 

Piccola Trattoria

 

Piccola Trattoria serves authentic Italian cuisine. Opened in the mid 1990s, the restaurant has a diverse array of food including homemade pasta, steak, vegetable dishes, and other delicious fare. Try their fettuccine con nocciole!

 

Santorini

 

Located in Sleepy Hollow, this family owned restaurant serves the best souvlaki and gyro in the county. Santorini gives you the chance to taste authentic Greek food, including its signature dessert: the Galaktoboureko.

 

Zuppa Restaurant & Lounge

 

Zuppa is more than a decade old and is located inside a former printing plant. It has a sumptuous array of Italian fare that you could enjoy, but their pasta dishes are highly recommended. The pasta is made in house and it is prepared creatively.

 

El Tio

 

Come early to El Tio as the restaurant is quite small. Nevertheless, this is a great place for Mexican food. Order the classic and the chef specials and down it all with the house sangria.

Inexpensive yet filling, you should enjoy the lunch specials at Bhog Indian Restaurant. For less than $15, you can have your choice of three entrees, spinach paneer, gulab jamun and lentil soup.
