HERD YOUR FRIENDS ON A MINI BUS IN NEW YORK CITY AND GO TO FINGER LAKES FOR SOME WINE TASTING
For those who do not know, Finger Lakes is home to over 100 breweries, wineries and distilleries. A huge number of these are in Seneca, Canandaigua, Keuka, and Cayuga Lakes. So it might be a great idea to get all your friends on a mini bus in New York City and go on a wine tasting adventure in Finger Lakes.
If you want to experience the best of the region, go on a wine trail. All the more reason to get on a mini bus in New York City to ensure that nobody in your group would be driving, allowing everyone to join in the fun even while on the way to your venue!
There are four wine trails that are open all throughout the year:
Keuka Lake Wine Trail
The Keuka Lake Wine Trail has eight wineries included in the tour, but it is by far the most diverse. It was in Keuka Lake where the first bonded winery was put up in the 1860s, as well as the first Vinifera vines were grown.
If you want the whole wine tasting experience, this is the best choice for you.
Seneca Lake Wine Trail
Seneca Lake Wine Trail has the most number of wineries among the four major wine trails in Finger Lakes. With thirty-two wineries participating in the trail, you can have your fill of excellent Honey Wines, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Gewurztraminer, and Cabernet Franc.
Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail
The Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail goes for 41 miles. You can visit Fairport, Naples and Canandaigua in a single day.
The areas around the Canandaigua Lake has some of the richest agricultural lands, which help it produce some of the best wines.
The wine trail itself includes five different wineries, two wine centers, a host of restaurants, shopping centers and even a golf coast. If you find yourself too tipsy to continue on the trail, you can always stop at the New York Wine and Culinary Center where you can taste wines and food from all around New York state in just one place.
Cayuga Lake Wine Trail
The Cayuga Lake wine trail has fifteen wineries, one cidery, four distilleries and one meadery, which all in all have won thousands of awards over the years. The Cayuga Lake wine trail is known as the country's first, and has events lined up depending on the time of the year you visit.
